I'm afraid that when it comes to decorating for Christmas (and in a few other areas) I'm a sad disappointment to the rest of my family! My Mum, sister and brother can't wait for December 1st so that they can get their trees decorated. I, on the other hand, think I'm doing well if the tree is decorated the weekend before Christmas! At the moment every time I speak to them it's the first thing they ask. Why they care I don't know as they're 300 miles away and wouldn't see the tree anyway! (Hey, I've just realised that I could claim that I have a fabulous tree and they wouldn't know!)

Anyway, when the tree does appear, it's five or six feet tall, artificial, but realistic looking. I decorate it with red and gold baubles, gold tinsel, and simple white lights. Oh, and it has an angel bear on the top. (Last year it looked like this for all of five minutes and then Sassy, who was a kitten at the time, started rearranging it, ie. removing all the decorations!) That's the total of my Christmas decorating except for a few Christmas Ty Beanies which sit on top of the bookcases in the living room.

  • I've done my decs a bit earlier than usual this year, as I'm at home between jobs. We have an artificial tree, with coloured baubles and beads, chocolate, twinkling lights and a fairy on the top. We also have tinsel streamers on the ceiling, and some "danglies". I have help putting my decorations up too, like Julie. The cats think a box of tinsel is for them to jump in. -- Helen, 11:05:27 12/15/02 Sun
