Subject: Riding Author: Cinder [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 13:05:43 11/29/02 Fri Cinder takes out her percheron gelding, Archie, from his stall. He is extremly tall, but gentel at the same time. She leads him out into the arena at Spring Beach Boarding Stable and ties him to the rail. Cinder goes back into the barn to get some supplies and hears her percheron mare, Missy (Miss Priss) nicker to her stallion, The Wanderer. As Cinder come sout of the barn she sees Ocean Of Storms running through the arabian pasture with Arabella by his side. Cinders stablehand is busy training Swinger, yet another of Cinders percherons. Cinder has a grooming kit. She carefully begins to groom Archie, right down to polishing his hooves. Archie just stands quietly and patiently as he is groomed. Cinder then goes back into the barn and gets Archies english tack set. As she goes in, Mandy, her rottweiler, suddenly jumps out from behind a bush and follows her. Cinder come sout with Mandy and the tack. Then, she tells Mandy to go back to the barn. Mandy obeys. Cinder starts to tack up Archie. Again the big teddy bear of a horse stands quietly and pateintly. Then, Cinder unties Archie from the rail and mounts her mighty stead. Then, calling over a stablehand to open the gate, she takes arechie out into a large, vacant pasture. She practices going through Archie's gates because she fears that his leg might still be injured. Archie's leg may still be injured from a fall last year on a trail at Spring Beach Boarding Stable. He is fine, but has a slight limp that she can feel and is only a little visable. He is no longer suitible for show. Oh Well. Archie is still the best horse that could ever be hoped for! Then, as if magic, Cinder directs Archie to jump up and over the fence! She rides the horse over the feild and has him jump over and into the arena. She then untackes him and takes the tack into the barn. Cinder patiently grooms him and leads him back into the barn and put him into his stall.
