I have a sheet on Thomas F. Evans that is the son of Thomas F. Evans and a gradnson of Nancy Evans (nee)Watts,who was a full sister to Malichia Watts who was a Cherokee Indian by blood.Claimint is also grandson of Thomas Evans of the state of TN.who was the son of Jacky Evans a Cherokee Indian whose name appears upon the rolls of 1835 taken in Tenn.Witness Aug.26th,1896

He was trying to get on the revised roll of Cherokee Indians.Says see affidavit-of WJ. Watts EX-A-Thos.F. Evans EX.B-see proof in the Malichi Watts and Evans case.
Now my family being the Evans is why I am involved and I went to the library one evening with all of my info. on my Evans,Pack and the Watt paper. Jerri Chastain was the speaker and I found out very quickly not to bother her with anything from the Watt Attorneys she had proven them incorrect.!!!So I closed my book.We now have all of her genealogy research items in the library as she passed away and the library has received a huge donantion getting her library of info.She was very good,but as i still read the info I have out of FT. Worth and Mr. watt said what happened to these peoples papers and in the papers the enrollong officer is named so maybe one day.And the mint conditioned post card Velva A Lockwood sent my Grandmother telling her her papers were being processed and she would be receiving her papers and my G Grandfather saying in a letter they just kept taking our money but never did anything.Seems the Indians are the only race that has to prove they are Indian.
Belva Ann Lockwood was the first lady ATT. that participated in getting the Cherokees $5,000,000.for damages.
