I had an interesting experience about 6-7 years ago. I woke up in the middle of the night, for no apparent reason, to the most incredible sweet scent of flowers---lots of flowers, almost like perfume. It lasted only for a second and was so strong that it was like my whole bedroom was filled with perfume, kindof like someone had dropped a bottle of perfume, and then it was gone without a trace in the air. At the same instant, the words, "Our Lady of Mount Carmel pray for us." went through my head. I looked around and there was nothing, nobody present, no fragrance in the air. The clock said 2:30 AM. I went back to sleep wondering if it really happened. Exactly one hour later that same night, it happened again in exactly the same way with the same words going through my head and the fragrance in the air lasting only for a second. But this time when I looked at the clock it was 3:30 AM.
I thought to myself that maybe it was a message that I should wear a brown scapular. It was only a great deal later that I learned that Padre Pio had died on Sept 23 at about 2:30 am. This incident happened to me smewhere around the end of September, but I don't remember the date. Now I wonder whether that was a message from Padre Pio because it happened the same hour that he died, and might have been the same day also.
Has anyone here had something like that happen? It doesn't seem like a dream at all because of the incredible fragrance of flowers like perfume, and also because it happened twice that same night. I really believe it happened. I would like to hear if other people have had something like that happen to them.
