Well the boys came down to Townsville minus Joey WEBB and Richard GIRLE, which was disappointing, but we did have the bonus of Boe. Friday night we came up against the Heat and considering the disruptions we've experienced over this season I was reasonably happy with the result, although we did go down by 30 odd points. Next morning we only just got over Mackay and then had to come up against Cairns. Considering the hiding we got last time we played this team I was extremely happy with what we achieved in this game. A new offence (AGAIN) and we only went down by 12, although I tested a couple of things at the end and I think the actual mark is 6 points. A good effort considering our disruptions over the season and that Cairns program has been very settled. Easily accounted for Lightning, although not until the final half and then up against Heat again. We played like crap but we only went down again by 30 odd. Kris was starting to feel the effects of consistently being marked in all games and we again missed a lot of opportunities that we should have finished. We finished the tournament with Rocky who again did a job on us in the second half, although we were pritty knacked by now. All in all I was extremely proud of how our boys have continually made the adjustments necessary when we are fronted with disruptions. I feel very confident that when we go to Brisbane (with NO MORE DISRUPTIONS) that we will be competitive. Everyone at the club should congratulate the boys that have hung around for a superb effort against the odds. I know that some teams are boasting about the number they did on us, but when you compare what we've had to do over the past couple of months to what they have been able to do, I think you can see that they did nothing but give us the confidence of knocking them off at the classics.
