Can you believe the Rear Admiral on board the USS George Washington (Aircraft Carrier & the US Flag ship in Australia) gave this response to a question by the Aussie Press as to what the US Navy was going to do with the dropped bombs?

He virtually said:
"Oh, if you really want us to retrieve the bombs which are in very deep water, we can do it - I suppose! 2 of the bombs are armed.......but it's OK, the bombs do not have any detonators attached"

Wonder if the bomb casings do deteriorate in salt water and the explosives inside can leech out?
Hey then we may get a blast out of eating our succulent reef fish in a few years time, huh?
Talk about laxative speech thoughts from the Yanks....?
