C'mon guys, sex and politics is like Gin & Tonic. They go together!

We currently have a now ex-Federal Parliamentarian (kicked out last Saturday) on Police charges of using his Union credit card (you guess it, he belonged to the outed Labor Party) for running up bills in Massage Parlours.
On top of that (no pun intended) we have the ex-Speaker of the House which is the 3rd highest office in the Land being charged with falsifying travel entitlements and was previously sued for homosexual advances towards his gay aide.

Democracy due to our method of voting with preference distribution in Australia has gone absolutely crazy.
There will be at least 4 Senators elected from fringe parties (never heard of people or micro parties) to the Federal Parliament.

I will reflect upon this farce sometime later after vote counting is completed.
There is a new Senator from a 'Motoring Enthusiast Party' (had to be from LG's home State of Victoria of course), a new Senator from the 'Australian Sports Party' (West Australia), a new Senator who is an ex-Rugby International player from Queensland and a new Senator from the Liberal-Democrat Party who 000's of voters incorrectly voted for due to confusion with the name of the Liberal Party (new incoming Government) plus the Liberal-Democrats had the number One box on a Senate ballot paper of 104 candidate names in NSW.

Now - can you believe that this rag-tag lot of new Senators will land up with the balance of power in the Senate?
One of them only got 0.22% or less than 2,000 primary votes with millions of voters. Another got 3,000+ votes.

Things are going to get very interesting when the new Parliament sits in a couple of months time.
We may end up passing laws that everyone has to enjoy themselves by driving on their holidays OR perhaps all kids should start playing badminton instead of tennis, etc. etc.

Democracy has gone BONKERS! (not bonking, thank you).
