Proton Cars is making a big push for part of the overcrowded Aussie passenger car market.
Their newer model over here, the PREVE GX 1.6l 4-door sedan is being offered at AUD15,490 (around MR46,000).
And mind you - this is the drive-away price which means that the AUD15,490 includes registration, road tax and 3rd party (property) insurance. These on road costs alone is worth around AUD1,500-2,000.

It now has an ANCAP 5 star safety rating (wonders of wonders when it was 1 star only 3 years ago).
BUT Proton also offers a 5 years full warranty, 5 years capped price servicing costs, and 5 years Roadside assistance (in case of breakdowns, etc).
That is even better than the Hyundai or KIA offer of 5 years warranty.

I have seen this PREVE GX and it is quite a good looking car with a much better finish than in the past models.
It carries all the latest safety braking equipment + car security and even reverse parking sensors.

So what do you guys pay back in Malaysia and do you get all these extra perks with the car?
The question is - can we trust the car (although it also has a 7 year anti-corrosion warranty)?

MALAYSIA BOLEH? I think!
