I would like to first take the opportunity to thank O for contacting the neighborhood watch program and inviting them to speak to our Valleywood community. Officers Urgang and Bonfiglio and assistant prosecuter Ken Bernard had some very positive comments and informative suggestions on how we as neighbors can work together to keep our community and families safe.

I would also like to thank Jeff and Christy for hosting the neighborhood watch. Thanks for your time and effort in creating a very positive atmosphere for neighbors to share their thoughts and opinions on such important issues. In addition, thank you for the Valleywood website info. I hope we might have future meetings at your home or set up some type of rotating schedule between various homes every other month or four months etc. Maybe we could even make meetings like a progressive dinner party where everyone brings a dish to pass or a dessert to pass?

Recently, it seems the neighborhood has had several homes go up for sale and many new families are moving into their new places. Many of us have busy schedules but I would hope those of us who have been living in the Valleywood community would introduce themselves to their new neighbors instead of driving in our garages, closing the blinds, and reaching for the remote control (I know I am guilty of that). Winter is quickly approaching and it won't be long before all of us start to hibernate, but hopefully there will still be some pleasant Oct./Nov. evenings for people to get out, take a stroll and introduce themselves and as officer Bonfiglio said "get back to neighboring". Therefore, if some strange U-haul is in your driveway at 2:00pm in the afternoon starting to clean out your home while you're at work, some of your neighbors will know that that is suspicious and call you or the township police.

Enjoy the Fall colors and the neighborhood before the snow is here.

Thanks,

Martin & Becky
