3. Free Agents: Any player who is not on a team roster within your Conference is considered a free agent for that Conference. To minimize possible collusion, players cut from a team after Week 10 may not be re-acquired by any team.

4. Regular Season Free Agent Acquisitions: The regular season free agent system will be a "blind bidding" process. Each team will have a maximum of $400 to spend on free agents. You will be permitted to bid for free agents on a weekly basis. No team will be informed of any other team's free agent bids. The team with the highest bid on any given player will be awarded that player. The amount of the winning bid will be subtracted from the winning team’s free agent account. For each winning bid, the winning team must drop a player or assign an eligible player to the IR. If a team spends all $400 of its authorized allowance for free agents, that team will no longer be allowed to bid. No bid will be accepted that is larger than a team's available free agent funds. All bids must be in increments of dollars (no cents) and the minimum bid is $10.

5. Free Agent Accounts: Each team must include an additional $400 deposit with their entry fee to set-up a free agent account. The free agent account will keep track of each team’s free agent spending throughout the season. At the end of the NFL season all free agent accounts will be reconciled. Free agent account money that is not used will be refunded.

6. Bidding Time Frame: The regular season free agent bidding process starts after the completion of Week 1 and ends at the end of Week 11. Bids will be accepted on the Conference web site from Tuesday at 9am ET until Friday at 5:00 pm ET in each of these weeks. Results will be updated by 6:00 pm ET Friday night with the results of all successful bids. You may bid on as many free agents as you would like each week; however, you will be required to drop a player or assign an eligible player to the IR for every bid you win.

7. Conditional Bids: Conditional bids can also be offered. In the event you lose out on a player, you can place conditional bids for other players during the bidding time frame. The first conditional bid will become relevant only if you lose out on the first bid. Subsequent conditional bids will become relevant only if the previous conditional bid fails. Bids do not require conditional bids. Bids may have several sequential conditional bids.

8. Tied Bids: If there is a tie, the team that receives the player will be determined in order by:

1. Worst won/loss record.
2. Worst total points.
3. Worst total Offensive Points for the regular season (Defensive/Special Teams Points do not count)
4. Coin toss.

9. Unsignable Players: A list of players will be designated as unsignable meaning that these players are too valuable to be released outright and if they were available in the free agent market it could compromise the integrity of the game. Players will be added and removed from this list throughout the season as needed. All players are eligible to be released.

10. Injured Reserve (IR): One IR spot will be available to each team and will not count toward the 16-player roster limit. Each team is allowed to have a maximum of one player on IR at a time. A F4F IR List will be posted on Wednesday of every week and will include all players eligible to be placed on IR for that week of the F4F Contest. All players listed in the Official NFL Injury Report as doubtful or out on Wednesday will be placed on F4F IR List. Once the F4F IR List is posted, for any given week, it will not change or be updated until the following week.

11. Playoff Free Agent Acquisitions: Rosters will be frozen during the playoffs with the exception of the IR spot. After the completion of Week 11, teams will only be able to acquire free agents if one of their players is injured and on the F4F IR List. Only free agent players that are available in your conference and eligible under the free agent rules may be acquired to fill in for an injured player. Each team will have a maximum of $100, in addition to any unused portion of the regular season free agent allowance, to spend on IR transactions during the playoffs. IR transactions and free agent signings during the post-season will be based on a first-come, first-served basis- No blind bidding and no bidding time frame. In the event multiple teams from the same conference try to acquire the same player at once, a tie will be declared and the playoff tiebreaker rules will apply. The playoff tiebreakers are explained in the “Playoffs” section of the rules. During the playoffs, a $25 IR transaction fee will be charged to place a player on IR, and following this transaction an eligible free agent may be signed. The $25 IR transaction fee will be subtracted from any remaining money in your free agent account. In the event that your $400 free agent account is exhausted, the $25 IR transaction fee will be subtracted from your conference prize winnings if any, or you will be required to pay the transaction fee via credit card, check or money order before the transaction is accepted. Once the injured player is removed from the F4F IR List, he must be activated from the IR spot or dropped (teams are only charged for placing a player on IR).
