.the pack. high in the alpine mountains you walk for days. the air is nummingly cold but your thick coat keeps you warm. you stumble across a scent. you follow it. it leads you here. twilight catches your scent from a distance and follows it. she sees you and hides in the trees watching your every move. she finally steps out from the trees and calls to you, " kind stranger, why have you come? " she goes over to you and asserts her authority by standing over you. you roll onto the ground on your back exposing your stomach. you speak to her, " i am looking for a pack, can you help me? " you look at her pleadingly. she hesitates to answer, " only if you can keep up. " she runs off back into the trees. she has left the decision to you...
