hey,
i looked through the programing CD, + found surprisingly not that much
i also am unable to find anything in my papers about a premade havdala service
i think our best bet is to do something like this(although i could be on the wrong track):
7-8ppl arrive + snacks
7:45-8:15 mixers + other short games
8:15-9 dinner (maybe pizza or pasta w/ instant salad+ soft drinks)
9-10 - BIG program
10-10:30 - gift exchange
10:30-11 havdala
11to morning - whatever
the big program is what we have to figure out now, the rest can be done last minute
I think it should be something like a 4 station rotation, each w/ individual stuff (15 min each)
example:
station 1) chanukah discusion
2) improv games
3) jewpardy - chanakah
4) some kind of arts + crafts thing: make your own ....
it doesnt have to be like this, whatever, but this is the best i can offer
i dont know how were gonna do the havdala though, its usualy musical, and i like it like that but that means we need guitar players who have led havdala services before, i can try n' find some but i probably wont find ne one, i can play, but I dont know the song(s) for havdala but i can learn if I can find someone to show me how - the other part is easy, its just hay-ho-hay ho then a prayer, then some more hay-hoes, then more prayers, then some spices get pased around, + some candles 4 ppl, then some readings/quotes + its over
i hope this helps, or at least gives some insight
