Subject: new chillaxed sukkot event Author: Josh [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 15:29:41 09/07/02 Sat here's my 1st input: i think our event would work better as a series of short programmes rather than one long one. Also I don't think we should make it much longer than an hour. I looked through the NELFTY programming bank CD. I didn't find too much, but it helped me a bit. I figure we could put a sukkot twist into some of these: *why/because: split into two groups, group 1 writes questions starting with "why". Group 2 writes answers starting with "because". Then Pair off ppl from both groups to make a question and answer. Bring everyone to a circle and have each pair tell their why/because. *gossip: like broken telephone, exept instead of repeating what you heard, say the first word that comes to mind. At the end, each person shares what they heard from the person before them. *improv games(who's line style): question game, party game, worlds worst, and movie genre Related to Sukkot *I think we could do something with lemons, although I'm not sure what yet. *maybe we can put hunger in there somewhere, because sukkot is a harvest, right? maybe just canned food admission, or something else *i also read something in the CD about gram cracker sukkas put together w/ frosting (like a gingerbread house) thats it for now, see ya! We start with a mixer. Something like say your name, grade, school and what kitchen appliance you think you are most like. Then we pool all the structural information we can about a Sukka, what they look like, why they were used, ect. We then use this information to build some out of edible products, and call them dessert! yum! - or - build an entire minature village out of different types of candy. What ideas do you have for the topic and kinds of questions? I think it should be funny, like celebrity jeperdy or win ben stein's money, but also tie into sukkot or FEISTEY somehow.
