Yeah clearly anyone who writes satire is abusing the earth. Hell, I write a bit myself, and as we speak I'm lighting my cigar with several hectares of Amazonian rainforest and buttfucking a baby fur seal.
Look I was polite about this to Jasmine but seeing as you can't seem to spell the word 'you', I'm just going to cut to the chase. The message (if that's not too strong a word) in Hippie Fighter (as I read it, given that I'm not involved in this site) is that the claim that Hippies make a difference to environmental causes is dodgy. And I have to agree. Hippies might make for some color and movement at protests, but ultimately they never have an impact upon environmental politics. All they do is pull focus away from the more serious, more coherent, less obviously drugfucked people who score what few wins the environmental lobby gets on the board. You won't see Senators Brown or Bartlett in dreadlocks, but ultimately they are the people you can thank for saving endangered ecosystems, not hippies.
More than that, hippies alienate the broader community from the environment debate and make it easier for conservatives to dismiss ecological concerns- 'why should we care about the environment when its champions are shiftless ferals?'
If anything, hippies are part of the problem, not the solution.
Now if you'll excuse me, I think my roast Panda is nearly done...
