Nal kes, it really is disgusting from the perspective of an open minded and educated guy like you and me. But bro, times have changed, people at home are no logner the kind that we use to find ten years back. They only care about what goes into their mouth, what they can immediately see and enjoy and they don't care much about their actions and the future. Nowadays its every man for himself, so what ever support they gave to the winning candidate was kind of a fast scheme for their personal gain and glory. It was not done with due respect. The MP has to repay, or else, at his next vist to the district will he be fronted up with 5.90 by his very campaign supporters. Man, our people are crazy, they've lost their values and self respect. There's therefore no room for the Respect for a bigman, leader, councillor or even the MP. Nowadays its all ruled by so called Steam and Drug Bodies. We have a serious problem. These issues have to be dealth with and eradicated before Jiwaka even thinks of becoming a province too.

So these factors could be the ones that cause the DA to act the way he does. I mean I'm not supporting Jamie or the current DA of Anglimp South Waghi, btw, Kawalep is not a South Wagi. But, yeah, times have changed and really something has to be done before Respect and Values for one antoher is restored...

Same thing goes for Norht Waghi. Couple of weeks ago I was in Banz and there was a big crowd waiting outside the district office to get their CLAIMS payout.

It was both sad and frustrating to see this happen. I hope that we do have a better approach to managing our resources and services when Jiwaka province is here.

Thank you for the sharing this sentiment with me. It is disgusting to see our leaders talk big and do little. This generation is ours. The next generation will be our children. What can we do during our time. People like Talu Bol talked and do things with little education and their name stands through time. Look at Presidents of countries like America and people can tell that they did this and they did that.

Weīve been shown a way by acquiring democracy; the freedom given for creating opportunities and to give each one a chance to peruse full measure of happiness while he/she can. Our freedom and opportunities are being denied by leaders with less vision and we pool in this cycle of poverty and misery. Steam beer and marijuana seems to be the option left to our increased uneducated young population. We canīt blame young people for indulgence in this antisocial behavior. It must be seen as a way out of this unwanted society, that must be viewed as our own creation.

The thing is left to us to groom ourselves. It must start now or never and we head for social disorder. Educated elite of Jiwaka must not stand and watch while those we choose to lead us do little, talk big and creating a big obsession by appearing on television and newspaper for doing very little. Some of our leaders are overrated and this is very dangerous. I canīt tolerate selfishness, greed and power in our generation.

Jiwaka cries for deliverance.

very true Nak Kes...and I think the first step is to start leading by example.
You elites of Jiwaka don't realise how much the Jiwakans in our villages look up to you.
Once you start mixing in with the way they are currently behaving,...you're just telling them it's ok to do what you are doing.
So what if opportunities are limited...that does'nt mean we blame the current situation.
I am appealing...please...let's lead by example...not just 'talk the talk'...let's 'walk the walk'.
