Subject: Arab Colt Riding

I walk out to the back paddock where Mora one of my arab colts stays.I had put him out with my other arab colt Flame.I stroll out to the paddock hlater in hand planning to ride Mora.I see Mora to the right of the paddock and Flame to the left.Mora is very very skittish so he is scared of everything right now!!!I walk over to him and he breaks inot a trot running from me.I walk over ot eh spot again where he is and coo to him.I am able to grab his head an dlsip the halter just in time.He freaks.He snorts and whinnies.He rears and bucks.I coo to him."Easy beautiful!"I stroke him soft muzzle and then rub his neck now lathered in sweat.He prances still afraid."Its ok!""shh!" I coo ti him and put each of my hands on the side of his slender head.I rub his head and he lowers it.He is trembling really bad and sweating."Easy boy." I stroke his neck and feel his heart rate.His heart is pretty fast. " no one will hurt u boy!"I keep stroking his muzzle.He trots in a circle around me in fear.I keep stroking him and talking ot him softly.He begins to settle when he hears a loud crash form the farm next door.He snorts and lays his ears back.He trots in a tight circle as I hold him.I grab his head and ho9ld it still.I stroke it and rub his ears.His trembling stops and he calms a bit.All of the sudden Flame comes charging over.Flame bucks and kicks out at Mora.Mora Breaks inot run running from my grab.I shout"NO! FLAME!!!"He trots over to me and nickers.I give his quarters a smack with my hand.He perks his ears in alarm and his head shoots up. "Bad boy!"I jog over to Mora now shaking like crazy.I grab the lead rope and rub his neck.I coo to him as he calms.I stroke his shoulder where Flame caught him square in the neck.The only prob is that Mora needs to be ridden today cuz he has not been excersied.I leads Mora out of the paddock.Flame huddles in the corner of the paddock knowing he was in trouble.I lead Mora over ot eh barn.He snorts and jumps at every sound.I clean up his spot where Flames foot grazed his shoudler and then tie him in the x ties.He paws the ground and whinnies with all his might.I go over ot rub his muzzle and he shoots his head up in alarm.I pull it back down and rub his ears.He lowers his head liking it and clams.I finish tacking him up before leading him to the jumper arena.I tighten the girht and mount.He skitters a little as he feels my weight but calms as I talk to him.I ask him for a trot.He picks up a springy trot.I begin to post to his trot right away.I trot him over some ground poles. He takes them nicely.I lean inot my jumping seat as we trot back over them.I give him a squeeze and he leaps inot a canter.I cnater him on to a 18" cross rail with some ground poles in front of it.I trot him over the ground poles and then urge him inot a canter as we get about 4strides form the jump.he takes the jump nicely and I deicide to stop then because Mora is sweating and freaked out still a bit.I gave Mora a bath and then put him a nice clean stall. I then walked back out to Flame.He saw me and trotted over.I tried to pet him but he trotted off anf gave a series of whinnies.I wlaked over ot him and stroked his shoulder and gave him a apple befoer leaving him to be!!!I felt bad for getting mad at him but he should not have got mad at Mora!!!
