hi, my name is Bride (Breda) i am hoping to move to houston and gain a live-in nanny position. i live in ireland at the moment and i have 2 precious boys of my own! it would involve arranging a visa however, it should be quite easy to arrange as long as i have an employer(i could work for a week in august while im visiting and then return once i arranged the visa, which would be as soon as possible, hoping for september) and my kids would probably come later to live with me/us in december once i have settled in altho i have no set date in mind. i would prefer private accommodation on the premesis of the house in which the family live, but am open to alternatives. pay depends on circumstances. i am very open and once i am aware of things, i communicate them and would hope it would be a two-way street! :D
i could have a proper chat with you next week where we could discuss flexibility and any issues/queries we may have as i arrive in houston on the evening of the 31st of august for almost three weeks. my kids will not be with me. i intend to stay in houston for four years at least as my fiance lives in woodwind lakes in northwest houston. we have been together almost a year now and travelling is becoming a pain! it makes more sense to live near eachother and since my youngest is not of school age and i love kids, as well as having experience being a nanny in chicago, i believe this to be a much better option and am very motivated. i dont have a drivers license at the moment but i am keen to learn and in the meantime, my boyfriend has a car and excellent driving record and would be willing to help out. he has been seeking employment in the computer field for a while and careers in this field are limited in houston, but he wishes to remain close to his family for a few years for personal reasons. in the meantime he only works a few hours a week for a disability educational centre. i am 25 years old and my kids are 2 and 4. my eldest will start school in september. i am very interested in home-education so i feel i have a lot to offer regarding learning through play. myself and the kids are vegetarian and i am into eating healthily, however i respect and have no probelms with the choices of the parents for their kids! if you like the irish language i can use it with the kids and i enjoy learning other languages and cultures. we are spiritual but not within any particular religious group and have no qualms about maintaining the parents' teachings with then kids i nanny. the kids and i love the outdoors and are up for new experiences and to see what life has to offer! i have strong interests in homeopathy and aromatherapy and i have experience in life-saving courses. i mainly use time-out as a means for teaching right from wrong and i believe kids need respect, love, appreciation, encouragement, responsibility and clear boundaries. altho their dad and i arent together as a couple, we still remain close and family is our priority. we love kids and are big book lovers and we believe in understanding and care for kids as well as the world around us, so our kids are very loving and (usually!)easy to manage. we love messing around too of course, even if we do seem silly! the kids dad would remain in ireland/england because of work, and the kids would stay there with him over holidays; christmas, easter, all summer and mid-term breaks.
