Thunder was young, but not stupid. He understood a little bit of the concequences Brutas and Titan could face after seeing how the blues had reacted to Elegance. Even if the blue guards acted as if their prisoners had overpowered them, they could be punished. At best, they would be riddiculed for being 'beaten by reds.'At worst...
Thunder winced. He was in debt to these blue relatives of Elegance and he had to help them too somehow. He noticed that Stormy had lingered to talk to Brutas as he left the cave but his attention was on Titan, who was sucessfully beating himself up. The red thought to himself. He couldnt just leave without a mark on him. It would look stupid. He was young but he had sense. He didnt say anything but carefully bit his own tail. It hurt like hell but the cub was sure it would help. He suceeded in drawing blood and smudged his muzzle in it. He he knew he didnt look that convincing. He tried to chew his own leg but it hurt and he looked stupid, so stopped and thought. He could run through brambles to get some minor cuts. And perhaps if he could catch a rat or rabbit, he could use that blood too. He waited for Stormy, watching Titan with a dim sense of respect, despite the fact that he was busy beating himself up. He wandered if Stormy would persuade Brutas to go with them, but was sure she couldnt. Besides, Brutas would be more use to Stormy's cousins side if he was spying on Scarface from the inside. The young fox sighed. Why oh why was this war so stupidly complex?
He looked at his brother and Elegance, at Titan then behind him at the prison. Now that he was free he was surprised at how reluctant he was to go. Perhaps it was because he didnt know where he would go. Stormy was kind but she was distracted. Titan was obviously planning to stay on Scarfaces side, despite the fact he was not really. Whatever Brutas did, Thunder couldnt go around with him as he barely knew him. And Elegance and Trick...Thunder wasnt sure he would be welcome with his friends. Three would be a crowd. He could go home to his mother and father, Dusk and Sunset, but he didnt want to give up his freedom and trot back to his parents like a cub. Besides, they might not want him either.
He stood to wait for Stormy but was planning in his mind what he was going to do.
