Date Posted: 00:31:30 07/25/14 Fri I was stationed at Utapo RTAFB 1966 - 1967 as a Crew Chief on KC-135 and EC-135 (Combat Lightning) aircraft. When I got there the we're still building the base. The Tower was being built and all roads were not paved and required water trucks to spray to keep the dust down. We lived on the flight line in hutches built by Red Horse. We also flew Missions out of Takhli Royal Thai Air Force Base. The first KC-135 Aircraft arrived at U-Tapo in August 1966. The base was not completed until the end of 1967. The perimeter of the flight line was sprayed to keep the area clear. I would be interested in proof that agent orange was used. We had boot's on the ground in Vietnam when we flew in on World Airlines on our way to Thailand. Thanks Frank Rideg Email: utapo9356@gmail.com San Diego, CA [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
