Subject: Who did I replace? (Lima 3/1)

On 17 February 1966 I was transferred from H&S Company, 3/1, to Lima Company, 3/1. It has always been my understanding that I was transferred because another corpsman had been killed, and I even thought I knew who he was. However, I have learned that that corpsman was killed in late March, and was in Kilo Company. Moreover, he was the only 3/1 corpsman killed during the battalion's deployment. As a result, I don't have a clue who I was replacing, if anyone. I've wondered if a Lima Company corpsman might have been wounded. Can someone help?
