I was in Lima Co. lstsqd, lstplt, 1/69-12/69. I probably know your Uncle, but my memory can't picture him. If he was with the above unit then 99.9% we met. Our battalion moved to a sandy terrian south of Marble mtn and hill 55. In July/Aug our company went twice to Gonoi island on a search and destroy. I successfully contacted a good buddy of mine after 40yrs a couple of months ago who was in 3rdsqd, 3rdplt name Bob Hodnett. I am humbled and honored to have served with your brave Uncle, and will always be remembered. GOD BLESS...EDDIE...
