Craziness indeed.
My copy of his complete short stories is half-grey half-white with an angled line intersecting them. I think a mellow red would be a more coordinative tone to the general aesthetic of my room.
I'd like my Burroughs in blue as well, the 'junk color' and my Hemmingway in the colour of African sand. Amis, should be the colour of London streets and Fitzgerald the pale Crystal hue of a champagne glass. Kerouac should be the asphlat grey of the open road and Greene the pink and white stripes of Brighton rock. Poe should be as black as the raven and Whitman a green as bright as fresh grass in his uncorrupt America. Howards Marks should be the darkish green of fresh dried weed and Ballard a white as fresh as new fallen snow. Thompson should be peyote green. Verne the darkest blue as seen in the depths of the ocean.

Yep.. It'll be great, we could all really judge a book by its cover.
