got the vinagaroons here in southern nevada as well as black widows and brown recluse.

i found the big spray bottles of ORTHO brand pesticides very useful. fuck RAID and all that shit. those roach "smokers", you know you set it off, close up the room and it's a vapor that lasts a few minutes-it'll kill the one's in the room, but doesn't do much to discourage new entries. the roach motels are even worse. i used to sleep in a room right off the kitchen and would hear all this clanging around. next morning, all the roach motels were 56-10 feet from where they were initially placed with no roaches inside. i think they were intentionally fucking with me.

you go to walmart/kmart/target and lay out about $15 for a big bottle of that liquid ORTHO stuff-it's multipurpose-meant to kill roaches, spiders, scorpions, everything. i've always had problems with the shitty cheap ass sprayer they give you with those though, so i usually buy an empty spray bottle or empty out my windex or something (don't forget to properly label it kids!) but remeber that using something like that creates a finer mist, so be careful not to breathe in deeply when you use it, maybe even get some goggles and mouth/nose mask. spray the entire perimeter of your place inside (and out if you can), door frames, window frames, and all along entire perimeter of baseboards as well as around plumbing/pipes. this creates a barrier that will kill all that comes into contact with it as well as sending some back to the nest with a load of weaponry to kill of the nest and send the message not to fuck with you.

ventilate well and go somewhere else or at least hang out outside for at least 1/2 hour or so while the vapors die down. it's supposed to provide 3-6 month control, but i did it every month because i lived in a prone area and an older building that let everything in. i'm surprised i didn't have Oprah stopping in to have her pussy licked. now i just spray monthly or so, but only during the warmer months when roach activity picks up.
