Subject: hangmans hill bristol

there is a place in bristol dubbed hangmans hill where you park your car on a hill and turn off the engine and hey presto it goes up the hill on its own.(this is a hill as we have taken a level with us and checked)
i have known about it since i was small but i showed my wife this place last year and have never returned since, as she saw a figure of a monk or a man in a hooded robe crouched at the base of the tree at the side of the car, she was screaming in histerics when i drove away at high speed and called my friend who came back over with us and once again the figure was there and my wife was screaming agin and she was in tears, i have never seen my wife in such a state this experience has really made me scarred of this place, we have all to get the courage to return but it wont be for a long time.

has anyone else been there or heard of it?
i have asked a local historian and local people but they all thought it was just a legend that was exagerrated.
p.s if you have any pics of entity's i would love to see them as i only have one myself which i am willing to pass on to anyone that would like to see it.
