Subject: My friend is smelling smoke

My friend is an older woman she lives by herself and many times she has told me she had been smelling smoke. I believe in the spirit world and feel like i have a little ability in me because of some past stuff. I asked her many times when she smelt it if it was diffrent times of the day or in a certain room and she said no. Now she smells it at work to. She thinks she is going crazy. I tried to tell her she wasn't. One time she was sleeping and she woke up to the feeling of someone in her bed. She thought it was her dog but looked at the foot of the bed and the dog was at her feet. At first she was in shock. But for some reason what ever type of spirit it was gave her a sence of piece. She was not scared anymore. Since then she smelt the smoke several times. Once right before her sister died of cancer. And then today 01/10/2003
She was stressed about me, she cancelled our plans we were going to go out to a singles dance but the other people desided not to go so she called me to cancel. Which was fine so i took my daughter to her friends to spend the night and while i was out she called me but i was not home yet. She was smelling the smoke again. Well i called her two hours later my car broke down in the middle of the street and it was about 5 degrees out i had no winter coat on , no blanket and no heat... i was out in the country. I sat out there for two hours until i got help. My toes and my body was so cold. I honestly thought i was gonna freeze to death. i called her when i got home and she said that after i called the smell of smoke went away. I keep telling her that i believe the spirit is a man that used to live in the house by himself and he used to smoke a pipe. I gave her a mental picture of what he looked like to me. Now i think she thinks i'm crazy. But my question is this i believe this spirit is protecting her or warning her of dangers to happen is this possible? Has anyone else been in this type of cituation before? Please e-mail me and let me know what you think? Thank you!
