after his short sword stops the rat rolls to the right side and sheaths his short sword and readies his fang shaped blade with both hands...

- The ferret's sudden moves cuts his sheathing his short sword action short, as his the ferret's sword starts the upward arc, the rat sidesteps then charges in when the sword arc is mid level and swings his short sword at his unprotected torso area then pulls back to gain momentum for a slash with his fang-shaped blade and aims a horizontal slash at the ferret's also unprotected back...
