Ug me problem words hate me! lol If only i could get away with writing that way. University Of Washington is my hellfire of chivalry. My Thesis is well quite frankly being a pain in my arse! I am basically writing it on children that have snapped, and killed their parents, classmates, and even both. Actually focusing more on what makes them think as they do and such. Had it in mind for a long time, done the research, truthfully still doing it. That isn’t the point. I am torn. I want to write it, yes have started it. Yet I no longer want to be a flipping psychologist. Want to change my major. Yet have no clue what I want to do. I should march my arse in and change my classes. Is that committing suicide? Is it common going into your last year? I really know I am never going to be happy behind a freaking desk. Somehow I know that my wanting to help people would eventually turn into hate at myself for not doing something better with my life. I need more adventure in my life than a stuffy office, and large wooden desk. AGH!

so if you could do anything, what would it be? i work on a college campus and talk to students about this sort of problem all the time. here's what i would suggest: 1.) go to your campus career counseling center and spend some serious time talking to a counselor there. on my campus, we have tons of resources for students to check out when they are trying to focus on a career. 2.) maybe you could check out the apa webpage (www.apa.org) in the students section. there's some good resources there about careers in psych. you might find that you can use your degree in a way that you hadn't thought of before so you won't have to change your major during your last year. if you decide to change your major, you might not have too many problems, and maybe will add one more year at most to graduation. but that, of course, will depend on how different the requirements for that other major are from the psych requirements. hope this helps a little!

:)
