To start the first half, Yates went out with high spirits to win this county cup stage. However, Darlaston also was high-spirited and proved to be strong with a quick goal in the third minute. Yates refused to be disheartened and fought hard for the equalising goal from Jodie Gutteridge on the 8th minute, and then five minute later Yates went ahead with a brilliant corner from Jodie Gutteridge and a perfect finish from Claire Hope�s wonderful header. Darlaston refused to give in and equalised on the 39th minute.
Half Time: 2-2.
The second half started well with both teams battling hard for a quarterfinal spot. It was Yates who took the lead with a shot from Bev Gardner from out on the wing, which lobbed the goalkeeper on the 63rd minute. Yates wasn�t finished there though because Jodie Gutteridge added to score after beating the offside trap and sliding to ball past the goalkeeper on the 64th minute. Darlaston were also not finished when they managed to put a goal back by beating Yates defence. Darlaston tried to equalise in the last few minutes but Yates stayed strong and refused to be defeated.

Next round of the cup is on the 15th December at Marston Road against Stafford Rangers.
Next weeks match is at home to Cottage Farm.
