she hissed at her daughter as she crawled as quietly as possible away, breath held in fear that might make too much noise. pearly wings were silent as she pressed them so tightly to her spine it started to ache, like a muscle beign stretched for too long.

she peered back to make sure Des was moving them into the open, where she could get them. turning back around she continued forward. only when she could no longer see them and scent them did she spread her feathers. with a sigh of relief she shot herself into the air, flapping towards the herd, yet staying a distance away. she could some what make out their forms, but she dared not get closer in case they should flee because they spotted her.
