I was frightened for a moment- I cant believe he grabbed me like that…’ words drifting away, she dared a glance over his shoulder and caught a view of the male sprawled across the floor with the wolf closing. ‘Akita! No, don’t be foolish…’ pushing past Alairic, she made her away across the path and to the horse, gathering up his reins, she looped them around the beast’s sweaty neck and into the bridal band to keep them off the floor. She kept her distance, awaiting Alairic’s present by her side before she continued any closer*-
