Sorry not to have been there, but nice to have been recognised! I was attending the 70th anniversary dinner of a club I belong to, which is why I was heading for Cowes.

Because it was only a relatively short trip, and with the forecast in mind, I put my small jib on the roller [about a number 3], and didn't use the main. I was hitting 5-6 knots on the Cowes approach!

I contacted Duncan Kent, and he's coming to look at the boat in a fortnight's time. Now I've got to tidy up down below ...
