The boat with eroding over hard racing was coated all over but If I try it I will just coat the muddy area - all the rest of the boat is fine.

I have been on the same mooring for 10 years now and I have found that you can certainly overcoat discoloured A/F after a good scrub, but as the barnacles come off they leave the area uneven and it takes more work to get a smooth finish.

Blakes recommend Hard Racing A/F for boats on drying moorings, but the thought of having to strip it all off after a few years of build up scares me!

Cheers,

A.
