I don't know the difference between the YSE12 and YSE12G, I'm sure I did once but back in the mists of time. John Skews at Cellar Marine in Porthleven will.

3/4" shaft will be ok for the YSE12.

From when I was installing a new engine I recall that the rules are that you need at least two out of the three flexible options. They are flexible coupling, flexible engine mounts or shaft length.

I seem to recall that shaft length has to be twenty times diameter to count (the idea being that the shaft will accommodate the effect) I don't remember the exact amount, but I do know that there was nothing like that sort of space available so I discounted it.

The YSE12 is an extremely heavy engine ( there was a later one with an aluminium gearbox, I wonder if that is what the G means?)

you will need some good mounts for it.

As to prop size, you need to speak to Cellar Marine to get the correct prop, they were the cheapest too as I recall.
