Lingfield is a lovely place to live. The airport is 9 miles away. We do experience noise of aircraft for certain flight paths to the airport, but it's true what they say, you get used to it and don't notice it after a while. There are some night flights, but I'm not sure of the times.

Apparently the development of Gatwick airport not being allowed until 2013 has last week been overuled and BAA announced it's recommendation to build an additional runway at Gatwick. I hear there is a meeting in the church planned sometime soon.

Perhaps other visitors to this message board can give us further details.
