Vauxhall have had an Engine management light problem for years..It seems that once a particular model starts flashing the light as and when it pleases,it will probably always have further problems for years to come..After years of dealing with Vauxhall customers i would say the only cure is a trip to a decent dealership with the correct equipment and a technican who knows what he's doing and understands the fundimentals of modern vehicle science..Lets face it,how do you know whats actually being done to your vehicle (if anything) and who's working on it...You dont....Most of the front line staff who book your vehicle in couldnt tell you the differance between a petrol or a diesel engine if they looked under the bonnet, so how do you expect them to explain your fault to the technican and then explain to you what they've done to cure the fault..If youre having persistant faults re-occuring then you should get an independent report done by an expert and then get your soliciter to write to the dealer with the findings..This normally kicks the dealer into some sort of action and your car is likely to then be looked at by the top technican rather than the apprentice or the old boy who cant understand why his feeler gauges wont fit in your engine diagnostic plug...
