I believe that I may have encountered this rogue. I remember only too well the clash between Brisbane and The Dragons at WIN stadium last season. My former publicity officer suggested I sit in the northern concourse in an attempt to be seen as a man of the people.
My evening took a turn for the worse when I was confronted by a burly chap whose state of mind seemed to hinge on a delicate balance of drunkeness and insanity. For the entire duration of the second half of that match I was forced to endure hours of dribble about the effect the country cup has had on the game at grass roots level. Smelling of a foul mixture of Tooheys Old and Hotdog, at one point this gorilla became agitated about how his promising career had stalled. Finally, he let go of my throat to scratch his brow and wandered off muttering something about doing it for Louise.
Needless to say I now never venture far from the sanctity of my private box while at the game, hopefully the nightmares will stop soon.
