Subject: A bit about me

Great! Linda found it! I must call Dean and David this weekend to get them on.

I married a McDonald -- Mildred's son Richard (known to me as Rick, but when an Easterner calls for Richard, I have a pretty good idea who they want).

Mildred and Earnest had three sons (Dean, Richard and David) and then a daughter (Dorothy). Dorothy's daughter Laurie Ann called me on the phone the other day as all of us were missing Hazen in our own private ways. I so appreciated the call, Laurie, that I built the page to keep up together.

I lost Laurie's email address the same day as I got it so we need to get her on too.

Rick and I have been married 38 years, and we two are glad we had our four kids so they could give us the nine wonderful grandchildren around whom our world rotates.

Tomorrow we are spending some time at a 4H Achievement Day to cheer for our two eldest granddaughters.

I am still working at CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind) but Rick is retired from a 27 year career as the resident electrician with National Research Council.

I don't want to tell too much history and bore you all, so enough for tonight. I'll write again.

Merilyn
