Subject: Spring in the Mountain Village

Lobo walked into the mountain village. She could tell that many things had changed since she had left for the war. The first thing was the amount of snow. Snow had been at least two feet deep as far as you could see, on rooftops, covering trees, on window sills, and on the ground. Everything seemed so white it almost got depressing. But now, the snow was still there, but barely. You could see lots of tall weeds sticking up and the occasional wildflower or two. The humans came out of their houses more often because the ice that had frozen the door hinges had thawed. Next was the amount of food. All the bushes had started to grow new berries- fresh, new, juicy berries. Rattata were scrambling around again, and you could see a couple of pidgey fly migrate back north again. Hunting was always best in the spring. Things like this made Lobo smile. Another thing spring brought was warmth. The cold, hard months of winter were dissolving and warmth and friendship filled the air. This was a wonderful feeling. Lastly, there was releif. Even if not everyone had hell hounds invading their lands trying to kill them that they had barely beaten in battles, Spring brought releif, spring brought refeif to everyone. It seemed like nature was saying, "Okay, winters over. You can be happy again." Everything could make you joyous. Lobo smiled as she trotted over to her home and ate some stantler meat, and then lay down for some well-deserved rest.
