Date Posted: 17:02:49 12/12/02 Thu Dear Horsehead , I am sending this e-mail as official notification that I am resigning from the Horsehead United playing staff and no longer wish to participate in forthcoming league matches. I have my reasons for retiring from playing duty, these are both personal and material. I feel as if no one wants to pass to me, (especially Wullie and Kevin) as if I’m running my guts out for nothing. I put in 100% commitment in every game, but everyone shouts at me as if to say I’m mince. I’m not the greatest player in the world, but I try and I’m not the worst player I don’t think. No one phones me anymore about the football, so how am I supposed to know if I’m playing or if the game is on. As I get older, my legs are getting sore and I don’t feel as fit and as fast as I used to be. Despite the fact that I was co founder of the team, outsiders have come in and I feel they have demeaned my position as Co Founder. People also slag my sister say they want to bing her and its no very nice and someone keeps calling ma hoose at stupid times in the morning and I suspect it is someone or some people in the team. Basically I’m unsettled and I’d rather play with my mates from Quarter, cause the games aren’t as rough and I can score with them. It is with great regret and apologies that I now send this and resign, if yous are ever needing a player, phone me and I might play.
