It seems as what was once the most winning regular season franchise in TBL history is in big trouble. After the career ending injury of franchise player Kevin Gaynor, missing the playoffs last season, getting swept by their rivals 5-0, and is now in danger of missing the playoffs for the second straight season. Manager Chris Niesz maybe looking for work next season.
When asked about what happened in their 5 games this season Star Shortstop Matt Douglas replied "Let me tell ya something, their are 5 games to go with the CL, we're not out of it yet."
We asked slugger Joe Cardaccio about his teams performance this year and he responded simply, "I don't wanna talk about it."
What went wrong with the team in what many believed to be the favorite to win the TBL championship series this year.
Matt Douglas- In this new environment of not being the manager I do not think Matt is very comfortable. He likes wearing his emotions on his sleeve, lashing out at his players and does not have his personal punching bag Greg Douglas to yell at anymore. Matt is bottling up too much raw emotion.
James Brown- The boy likes to talk trash, especially with his own teammates, this was welcomed by Douglas but is hated by new manager Niesz. Niesz wants a friendly clubhouse and James Brown is a bad fit on this team. Injuries have also ravaged the once speedy TBL veteran.
Jared Nicastro- With his move away from Port Monmouth it seems like this TBL veterans once illustrious career is coming to a close. Everybody knows Grandpa was not what he once was and maybe its time for him to hang em up.
Joe Cardaccio- Joe is a very streaky player and needs people to keep him in line. He is not getting this from the passive Manager Chris Niesz. Nobody has been their to warm him up or tell him to keep his elbow up.
Matt Eagleton- This kid is a doofus and many wonder if he is TBL material. I think he needs to go back down to the minors.
Chris Niesz- Chris Niesz is a TBL legend, many consider him the greatest of all time, but has he lost a step? Maybe the booze and all the attention he pays his new love interest is all catching up to him. Whatever it is we have not seen the best of Chris Niesz this season. His passive style has manager does not work with this team. The AL needs to gel as a team and hasn't done so. The season is not over yet, hopefully the AL can put together a winning streak and prove this reporter wrong.
