The associated press has learned that top TBL officials are considering folding the CL franchise before they have even played one game. The CL was surrounded by much hype entering the TBL season but it seems they will never end up being much more than that.
Manager Richie Pags has not been able to get his team on the feild which is the primary objective of all TBL managers. "He needs to get his team on the feild, plain and simple" said NL manager Bryan Cobb. "I am sick and tired of people talking big and not backing it up, when I put my beans on the line I always come through and obviously the CL is not for real".
"There a bunch of babies who can not get their team on the feild. TBL will goto a two team playoff format and I love college, Yankees, and the YES Network" replied Commish Matt Douglas.
It seems as though the demise of the CL is not only due to their inablity to get their team on the feild. TBL reporter Steel Legs has learned that the CL was privately owned by Belford icon Jake O'Conner and the TBL rule book clearly states that no man of color can have any involvment with the league. When reached O'Conner commented, "I am absolutely astonished and my nose looks like a pickel."
When asking AL slugger Joe Cardaccio for comment he responded "I don't want to talk about it, this is not a good time for me, my house is under construction".
It seems as though the TBL regular season will be only for home feild advantage and will result in a 7 game series between the red hot NL and the winless AL.
This has been a special report by the Associated Press. Long live TBL and God Bless America.
