lose my optisism...give up? my dear that is by far the farthest thing from my mind. obstacles are amde to be overcome. I haven't met one I didn't like. I may dream, but I'm not all candy-coated. then again, maybe I am. but chocolate helps in even the direst situations. may the world underestimate me, I'll prove 'em wrong. just watch me. ahh, youth, it drives you so. arrogance is a powerful weapon, 'cause I feel the need to always be right. and maybe I am, but I doubt. I am young, but not ignorant. I know the truth, and still I deny it. that can only last so long, but I'll hang on to it for all it's worth. never gonna let go.

gaze travels to fem's side. no swelling is noted, but perhaps it is her air that clues him in. pregnancy does strange things to mares. hell, they can be downright nasty. yet she seemed docile enough, hopefully that will last. so a foal is to come, good, new youth. that is our reason for life is it not. but there is so much more. don't you wish things could be simple sometimes. oh well, simplicity can be boring, and boredom squanders the mind. we wouldn't want that, no we would not.
