The new rules, are just optional. Stats go only as far as the player actually plays them. You are someone with a 3 intelligence and a 3 wisdom, are not going to act as Einstein. Though, in the end, perhaps you could, until you have to make a skill check.

End the end, it mostly has to do with roleplaying. In fact, a player may have a brilliant idea....but, the character himself/herself/itself may not be able to work it out.

Perhaps a player/character balance is how this game is played.

Or, maybe I'm just rambling and confused....
