Subject: DND characters in Hyboria

Well, I just finished converting Phaidon from DND 3.5 to Conan RPG. The transition went fairly smoothly. He lost a lot of skill points, but gained a ton of feats. Mostly because I traded in his Panther Lord levels for straight Borderer.

As for the extra feats, I chose stuff that made sense and that related to Phaidon. I gave him all of his normal feats and then the following...

Iron Will and Demon Killer I gave him because he would be more steeled if a Demon did show up than the other inhabitants around him.

Self-Sufficient, Stealthy, and Alertness I gave him to compensate for the loss of skill points he suffered. That way, he was getting those "back" and wasn't gaining some feat he knows nothing about like Mounted Archery or something.

I surmised by comparing DND composite longbows to the bows in Conan RPG that he would easily be able to use hunting bows, Hyrkanian bows, and Shemite bows as equivalents to a Mighty Composite Longbow. He however would not be able to use a Stygian or Bossonian bow without the Exotic feat.

I based him on a Tauran since he's mostly a woodsman and since Hyborians are the "standard" race.

Comments from me - This was a fun project! All in all, if there were no magic in Inzeladun, the Conan RPG Phaidon could EASILY take the Inzeladun Phaidon. With his magic weapons, the Inzeladun Phaidon would win.
