Although this is probably not in my best interests, I do have a few responses to all this crap being slathered across my message board. I have gathered comments from several threads so I only have to make one combined answer.

And let's face it, I am the only one that remembers it when...

Let's not limit things to the past and the way things were done in the past. I will try new things, and, guess what, those new things won't always be a success. I also remember all the whining and moaning you did back then also.

I do not feel like my visions have a home there anymore, when many years ago, they did. This is why I do not play. A perfect example is the spires jutting out of the ground in Oard, and the undead giraffe thing. In the old days, my vision would have superceded these things because my vision counted for something.

The root of your problem here is sheer arrogance. The fact that you want YOUR vision to supercede everything is the problem. In creating Oard (and I am the one who created it, named it, etc.), I utilised your ideas, Bob's ideas, Chris' ideas, several of Allen's ideas and a few of my own. It was NEVER just your vision. I utilised the thoughts and ideas of a lot of the players to create it and bring it to life. I tried a few things that did not work, and tried several that did. Why should YOUR vision supercede Allen's? or Chris'? Or Bob's? Or mine? I tried to please all, and perhaps that was MY problem - trying to please everyone. Oard was never meant to be your vision. It belonged to the group as a whole, so I utilised everyone's ideas.

This same thing happened when you got mad about Grimhelm not being a true Emperor of Inzeladun - not all the players wanted that, so I tried to please all, by allowing Grimhelm control of some areas, but not all. The same thing happened with Yam ibn Saud. You've quit virtually every character you've played with me over this very similar issue - the arrogance that your vision should override everyone else's - and believing I am alone in holding you back.

Other players do not always share your vision, and as DM I will not force them to give in to your vision.

My vision counts for nothing anymore, and as such, I have no intention of beating my head against a brick wall to see it never come to fruition...

Your visions do have a home there, but so long as they do not inhibit the visions of the other players. The other players have an equal right to influence Oard and Inzeladun as you do.

Please. Please do not continue to rile me talking about things which you could not possibly comprehend. Please to not argue with me the ramifications of a twenty year long collaboration between two men who no longer see eye to eye.

A continued illustration of the basic problem - the arrogance that Inzeladun is a collaboration between you and me. It is not. It is nothing of the sort. It is a collaboration between me and every player who has ever played in Inzeladun, as well as with the designers of DnD, as well as with whatever the Hell I am reading at the moment.

Oard was my house.

No. I allowed it to exist for the players and the purpose of further adventures. The idea for the castle came from one of Victor's toys, by the way. That "house" is a group home, and all of us have the right to paint the walls whatever colour we see fit.

I did not ask for black spires.

No, you did not. I added that as a potential springboard for a future adventure. It was one of my ideas that I really didn't develop or do anything with. I am sorry I intruded on the group vision there. At the time I thought the idea had potential. I make mistakes.

I did not ask for undead giraffes.

That was a Chris/Vincent idea. Once again, you are being intolerant toward other people having ideas too.

I did not ask for ghosts floating through the city.

That idea sprung from a conversation between Bob and Allen once, but I don't recall if it was a direct translation of that idea or if that conversation was just a springboard for me.

I did not ask for only evil men to come and offer their alliances with me.

A good guy didn't fit into the scenerio referred to. If a good guy would have done, I am sure I would have used one. I do recall adding some good dragons to the whole affair, as well as some good guy contacts in Alisander.

I did not ask for plots against my life.

I have never plotted against your life. That is a downright vile accusation. If you are referring to your characters, well? Who DOES ask for that? In my last game, Allen's character got framed for murder. Did he ask for that? No. I'm sorry if one of my plot hooks annoyed you because you didn't ask for it. Some of my plots are better than others. I have to come up with them weekly, you know. Occasionally I will have a weak one.

I have grown tired of fighting for it. I have been defeated. I give up. I gave up. And I never give up. Does this tell you anything?

You often give up - where did you get the perception that you don't? You gave up Grimhelm when the world didn't instantly accept him as Emperor. You gave up Yam ibn Saud for the same reasons. You gave up Shazaar. You gave up on the Sataan campaign more than once. You have given up on every character and every campaign at one point or another. You've quit jobs, friendships, businesses, colleges, etc.
