Marinna MacMester is 1.65cm high, so she is rather low.
She has black hair to her shoulders and wear glasses like Dumbledore has.
Her birthday was the 28th of August and then she became 42, but the age doesn't loose her firm grip and orden she have in her classes.
Her family lived in Moss a Norwegian town, so she went to a school in Norway, though she got a place at Hogwarts. Her parents didn't want her too far from home. She was completely happy with that and got quite good grades in all classes. But she ruled in history of magic.
When she finished school the first she did (after she had been doing nothing for a month or so) was to apply for the job as teacher in History of Magic at Hogwarts.She didn't get it at once, but after some years as assistant she got the job.
