Obviously it is impossible to guess the ability of people you've never met. The whole loop is over 6 miles which might be long for a 4-year-old who doesn't hike regularly, but probably too heavy to carry very far. Just up & back to the ledges is 4.4 miles but that is the steepest part of course. If the kids won't be disappointed in not getting there, you could try it.

Pine Mtn is an easier hike with ledges and views that you could try first
