In Agreement

I am moved by your words
soothed by your voice
a knowing laugh
in agreement.
Cliche ridden
but I've always
felt, with you
united we stand......

I miss the moments
while we busy our selves
raising children
to a level of independent
thinking, feeling, emoting;
sharing and showing
the world
their diamonds.

Yet I find a remarkable
truth to your sparkling
words;
look at the depth
of love
a word
not to be moved
not to be toyed

a word;
pure

and though we may yearn
for flesh
do we not still hold
deep
this love
that will not be shaken......

While our bodies
toil about the world
busy with the days
sleep to find dream.

Still,
I know this love
cannot be named
cannot be held
without understanding
the underlying
want.

It is not changed
through time
or trial by fire

Free of need
evolved to a place
of enlightened tinge

We shine
because we are

there is no higher truth
no higher human love
I have known
and still
not touched
skin to skin
to lay upon
the dream
where everlove remains.
