Music to the soul

Screeches ring out in harmonious discord
as bow pulls back taught over taught strings
tense tremors resounding
hollow sounds reverberating within.

Saxophone blows temptingly
teasing blues from across the river
undressing my soul with deep sighs
as I prepare to reciprocate.

Tinkling piano keys begin
playing me with every key you stroll
reminder that life cannot black and white be
when facing dreams and reality.
