You turned and came back!
after I told you to go,
showed me your naked fragility,
while all I could do
was offer insignificance;
which I gave in full.

Unlike those battered blooms
given with innocence,
looking so large in small hands,
now holding realities
while all I can do is feel;
how it hurts very much.
